Why use an LLC formation service?
Simplicity, convenience, and peace of mind are three of the main reasons to use an LLC formation service.
Every state regulates LLCs separately, which means filing rules, fees, and ongoing requirements vary depending on where you form your business. You can absolutely form an LLC yourself, but if you are unsure which documents to file, where to submit them, or what compliance steps come next, an LLC formation service can make the process easier to manage.
What makes the best LLC formation service?
The best LLC formation service is not always the cheapest one. For most business owners, the right choice comes down to a mix of price, filing speed, ease of use, and the support offered after the LLC is formed. A good service should clearly explain what is included, avoid hiding essential features behind confusing upsells, and make it easy to understand the next steps.
Potential LLC owners should also look at whether the company offers helpful extras like registered agent service, an operating agreement, EIN filing, annual compliance support, and access to customer support when questions come up. Beyond that, it helps to choose a provider with transparent pricing, a solid reputation, and a platform that fits your needs, whether you want a simple filing service or an all-in-one business-building solution.

Tailor Brands
At Tailor Brands, we are known as an all-in-one business builder platform that helps entrepreneurs launch, manage, and grow their businesses with confidence. Our focus is on simplifying the less glamorous side of entrepreneurship, from LLC formation and compliance to the tools founders need once the business is actually up and running.
Instead of sending founders across multiple services for formation, compliance, websites, and related setup tools, Tailor Brands brings those services into one platform. You get access to all the services we offer in one, easy-to-use dashboard that can link everything from your compliance and bookkeeping to banking and website. That is especially useful for first-time founders who are less interested in comparing ten vendors and more interested in getting their business formed without turning it into a side hobby.
Although Tailor Brands makes it very easy just to form an LLC and go, we are much more interested in growing with you and seeing you succeed. Our business guides and coaching program integrate seamlessly with our Navi AI, which is trained to work with your business specifically and can answer questions that will help you grow.
Tailor Brands offers 3 clear plans. Lite is $0 plus state fees and includes LLC formation, business coaching, free compliance alerts, and an invoicing & bookkeeping 30 day trial. The Essential plan is $199 per year adds 1-day expedited processing, and the legal compliance filings. The Elite plan is $249 per year and adds a domain (free for one year), website, 8 free logos, digital business card and social media marketing tools.
Tailor Brands offers integrated banking and business insurance, invoicing and bookkeeping $39 per month with 30 days free, logo design and marketing tools. You can get a domain name and build a website, set up business email and digital business cards as well as get printed business cards and swag. You can find out what licenses and permits you need, get a sales tax permit, register a trademark, and obtain an EIN with the IRS. Last, but not least, you can use our registered agent services and set up a virtual business address. In short, you can nearly manage your entire business in one spot and it can grow as you grow.
Tailor Brands has many positive reviews and holds a Trustpilot ranking of 4.8 stars with over 16,000 reviews.

Inc Authority
Inc Authority has been helping entrepreneurs start their businesses for over 30 years. It has become a well-respected authority in the LLC formation service niche during that time.
Inc Authority’s competitive basic plan (includes a free registered agent) and its 4.9 score on Trustpilot (all Trustpilot rankings are as of July 2026) from over 47,000 reviews make it a popular choice for LLC formation. One of the downsides is they are not very transparent on their premium packages pricing on their website.
There are many upsells in the checkout process and even though they highlight a free website as part of their plan, it is not free. They are currently offering a deal of $10 ($300 dollar value) for a web address, business email and website creator (which is a 30 day trial). The reality is the domain is free for a year, then you have to pay (which is normal), but they also do not inform you of what you will be paying for the website services going forward when checking out. The registered agent services, which are free for a year, will cost $249 after that. This is higher than the average of the services reviewed here. There is no opt-out option for a registered agent with Inc Authority, so if you do not want this service you will need to remember to cancel after one year.
They do have annual compliance services that includes state and federal compliance alerts for $147 per year.

Bizee
Bizee, formerly known as Incfile, is a seasoned professional in company incorporation and all things business. Their basic pricing plan is excellent value, and while their services are price competitive, they don’t compromise on quality. The particular advantage of Bizee is that they do not charge an annual subscription for the basic formation services although add ons, like registered agent services, do incur an annual renewal fee.
They have three packages: basic, standard and premium. The basic includes LLC formation, first year of registered agent service and one month of virtual address which becomes $29 per month thereafter. Expedited filing of 1 business day is $50 or it is included in the Premium plan. Otherwise, the stated filing time is 4 weeks. They do offer a business license service for $99. Domain and business email are offered but no website building.
One privacy note is that you are required to give them consent to receive text messages and phone calls in order to proceed through the checkout. You also have only 24 hours to cancel you order if you wish to do so.
Besides LLC filing, Bizee also offers a complete package of startup services, like bookkeeping and banking, registered agents service, and business name availability services. They also have a excellent Trustpilot rating of 4.7 on over 25,000 reviews.

Rocket Lawyer

They have a solid score on Trustpilot, gaining a 4.5 on almost 10,000 reviews. All Trustpilot rankings are as of July 2026.
Rocket Lawyer takes a slightly different approach when you form your LLC. If you only want to form an LLC, the cost is $99. However, when you check out, the $99 fee is waived only if you enroll in a Rocket Legal plan. You will be charged only the state fee upon purchase but you will have to cancel the membership within 7 days or you will be charged $239.88 after seven days or $39.99 a month (which works out to $479.88 per year). If you cancel your membership you will be charged $99 for the LLC formation. In addition, only one LLC is covered by the plan and you will be charged for all future LLCs formed.

Northwest Registered Agent

They differ from most other LLC formation service providers is by assigning a U.S.-trained and based corporate guide to each client, ensuring they speak to the same representative whenever they have a question.

They do not offer a free plan but do include a lot for their service, which has become a lot more than just registered agent services. Northwest do not have many reviews on Trustpilot, rated 4.2 on 274 reviews. All Trustpilot rankings are as of July 2026.
Their basic plan starts at $39.00 and, in some cases force an expedite fee. When applying for an Arizona LLC, they already add a $35 expedite fee to the $50 state fee. BizFilings
BizFilings, a Wolters Kluwer company, is one of the more established names in business formation. It does not compete on a $0 filing model. Instead, it positions itself as a traditional formation provider with compliance-focused tools and a long menu of post-formation services.
Pricing can vary quite a bit but their services do start at $99 plus state fees and all packages include business name verification, preparation and filing of documents. BizComply, its business monitoring and document library tool is available for an additional proce but requires you to submit a form to get a quote.
Note that all BizFilings’ plans are one time costs and not subscriptions, although add-ons like registered agent services are subscriptions or renewed annually. However, BizFilings requires enrollment in its Registered Agent service in order to file for an LLC. You will have to remember to cancel the service inside of three months if you do not want the recurring costs. Since it is mandatory to set up BizFilings as your registered agent you will also need to file to change this with the state once you cancel. The cost of which varies by state.
In the Basic plan you also get 3 months of Registered Agent services for free. Processing time is 7-10 business days. You can pay a $60 expedited fee but they do not promise how fast that will be. The Core plan adds an EIN and certified copies for $199 and filing takes 3-4 business days. The All-inclusive plan adds 1-day processing, a Certificate of Good Standing and business license research (which does not mean you actually get the licenses). This license option costs $99 as a standalone product. After three months, in all plans, the registered agent costs $220 per year.
They also offer quite a few upsells throughout the process including certified copies $39, sales tax application $219, Certificate of Good Standing $59, payroll tax handling $219, LLC Kit for $99 and the previously mentioned licensing, EIN, and expedite services.
